Wow!  Here we are in February already . . . and the beginning of a new semester.
There are a few minor glitches to be ironed out with the timetable but masterminds are at work trying to build the best program for students at Coronation School.
It is amazing how many permutations and computations are possible when creating a timetable for a K-12 school.
I think I will just stick to writing!
Grade three students aren’t building a timetable but they are busy building nonetheless.
These future engineers are totally into designing bridges, towers and other household items using recycled “stuff” from home.
Students must consider strength and stability of materials as well as size and shape of bases, arches and trusses when developing projects.
Sounds like a lot of fun and it’s all part of the Science curriculum.
Speaking of design – teachers attended a workshop on Differentiated Instruction last Friday.
What this means is designing and implementing lessons to meet the differing needs of learners in the classroom.
The session assisted participants to better understand learning profiles and what educators can do to further engage students.
It was a highly productive day!
Our Just Read total is 4823 books.  I wonder how many children in the world do not have access to books?
Take advantage of a good thing . . .celebrate literacy and read, read, read.
